Full-Time – $22–$26/hr
Nuand designs and manufactures bladeRF software-defined radio products in San Francisco. We are expanding our in-house electronics manufacturing operation and are looking for experienced PCB soldering and electronics assembly technicians.
This is a hands-on manufacturing position building sophisticated RF and digital electronics.
What You’ll Do
- Hand solder printed circuit board assemblies
- Solder RF connectors, headers, switches, wires, cables, and through-hole components
- Perform SMT touch-up, component replacement, and PCB rework
- Work with small and fine-pitch electronic components
- Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies for workmanship and defects
- Diagnose and repair assembly defects
- Clean and depanel completed PCB assemblies
- Perform mechanical and final product assembly
- Perform basic electrical and functional testing
- Follow assembly drawings, bills of materials, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures
- Work directly with Nuand engineers to identify and resolve manufacturing problems
- Maintain an organized and ESD-safe work area
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for people with hands-on electronics manufacturing experience. Relevant backgrounds include:
- PCB soldering
- Electronics assembly
- PCB rework and repair
- SMT rework
- Through-hole assembly
- Cable and harness assembly
- PCB inspection
- Electronics production and testing
Experience soldering fine-pitch components, QFNs, RF connectors, or other small electronic assemblies is especially useful.
Experience with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or IPC-7711/7721 standards is a plus, but certification is not required.
We care about practical manufacturing experience, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality electronics.
