After running OpenBTS successfully and trying to adjust it to 900/1800 GSM, I'm failing to see the network on my handset, do you have a good way to debug that? I'm getting no error messages in OpenBTS and I checked noise which I'm getting the following output (for 1800):
noise RSSI is -61 dB wrt full scale
MS RSSI target is -25 dB wrt full scale
INFO: the current noise level is acceptable.
Not all phones will see all channels, esp. when in 3G or 4G mode.
So to test, i put my phone in forced 2G mode, and used ARCFN 873 (which is in the DECT guard-band and legal to use in some countries such as NL). My iphones always see this, my androids most of the time.
