With help from nuand I have the bladeRF bopping along nicely with Windows 8 (USB 2.0 at the moment). Will post screenshots tomorrow using my satellite antennas.

Help from nuand was 'just' API assistance so I could understand the radio's architecture. I have no problems at all with the software provided from the repository.

All-in-all for a new-born radio costing (I think) $420 it's rather remarkable.

Tomorrow I hope to post some screenshots...

I am quite impressed with the cost although I had to pay customs to the UK.

I cant seem to get the drivers working. Are you using USB2 or 3? If 3 what USB host controller are you using - I think from reading some of the discussions that there might be problem with some.

Looking forward to the pics.

Hi,

At the moment USB 2.0, I have two USB 3.0 systems with Intel chipsets, I'll help the nuand boys with necessary diagnostics.

Well,

It worked rather well on the 70cms downlinks from HO-68 (CW beacon, otherwise defunct) and FO-29. I still need a few days to sort things out my side...

As a sort of summary - everything you need to know is indeed in the sample code, it works and the bladeRF is a rather nice 'bit of kit'.

I'll post screenshots when there are some decent signals from the satellites.

Simon, have you tried USB 3.0 with sdr-radio? Wondering if you have a full 30MHz wide waterfall on the bottom? Does it used a lot of CPU?

I still have USB 3.0 issues, we're working on this. 30MHz should not be a big issue.

Not yet - I will test with a couple of other people before I make it available, I don't want to waste your time.

Not before I get the USB 3.0 working...

Hopefully you will not kill USB2.0 compatibility :) Here I can't get USB3.0 to work with the BladeRF, maybe this Intel controller is somehow strange, who knows?!

Ralph.

I believe Simon is also using an Intel controller and with Windows 8 on Microsoft's stack. I have tried Windows 8 with a Renesas controller and was not seeing the issues that Simon was, but it was not negotiating to Superspeed - just high speed. More investigation is required.
