Matlab or GNURadio - Please, a suggestion!

Hi all,
I am using BladeRF in my research ( pretty at the beggin) and worried about the development plataform.
Should I to develop in Matlab or GNU radio!?
Which one I have more control of the BladeRF?
For example, I am using osmocom (GNURadio) but no sure about the limits of sampling.
