Better Operational System and versions + GNU Radio

Hi,
I've just bought a Bladerf 2.0 - X40 for my PhD research at USP - Brazil.
I am concerning about the operational system and Matlab versions, along with GNU radio.
There is any SO more suitable? Considering Matlab ( Simulink) and the GNU Radio.
I have tried to use Windows but looks like really unstable. Depends on the windows installation.
I installed the Centos7 but I am not able to install and to use the BladeRF neither the GNU Radio.
So, there is any SO suggestion?
